Group Requirements and Structure
Before joining the full 24-week DBT skills group, all participants are required to complete a four-week orientation. During this time, you’ll receive an overview of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and learn one skill from each of the core modules. It’s a valuable opportunity to get a feel for the group, the structure, and the approach—so you can decide if continuing is right for you.
You’re welcome to attend the orientation on its own—if four weeks is all you need, that’s great. If you’re interested in diving deeper, the orientation also prepares you to commit to the full 24-week DBT curriculum. Completion of the orientation is required for anyone who wishes to move forward into the full program.
To participate in either the orientation or the full group, you must also be engaged in individual therapy. This can be with any licensed mental health provider. DBT is most effective when paired with one-on-one support, and we encourage collaboration with your current therapist as part of your care.
Cost: $100 per session
