Get to Know Me
I'm Lauren Caravello (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, offering virtual and in-person therapy and coaching, to Nevada and Washington state residents.
I created Caravello Counseling after years of working within systems where I repeatedly came across rigid models of care, and services that didn’t always reflect the realities of people’s lives. As a social worker, I value accessibility, equity, and meeting people where they are. Having my own practice allows me to offer care that is thoughtful, flexible, and grounded in what clients actually need.
I earned my Master of Social Work from The University of Michigan, and training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My clinical background includes work in nonprofit organizations, community mental health centers, and group practice settings, which has shaped a well-rounded, practical approach to care.
In my work, I blend evidence-based therapies with a person-centered, collaborative approach. I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and on building practical skills that support meaningful change in everyday life. Whether we are working on emotion regulation, parenting challenges, relationship dynamics, or life transitions, my goal is to help clients feel supported while also empowered to move forward in ways that align with their values.
I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel respected and understood. If you’d like to learn more about my background or clinical approach, you’re welcome to visit my Psychology Today profile.
